Our client is a director of Japanese studies and loves the paired down look of the Japanese aesthetic. The house is surrounded by Torrey Pines and the area looks more like the Pacific Northwest than southern California. A light grey/white pallet, textured stone and natural wood tones set the mood. Accents of navy and red were pulled from actual Japanese textiles the client had brought back from Kyoto Japan.
